Stress Management

Introduction

Farming can be a very stressful occupation. Weather conditions, machinery breakdowns and long hours make for stressful situations. Low milk prices often add financial strain to the business or farm family.

Unmanaged stress can lead to conditions such as heart and artery disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), ulcers and nervous disorders. You should be aware of when stress levels rise and take steps to manage that stress.
