This excel spreadsheet allows you to compare two parlor alternatives. The partial budget allows entry of parlor costs associated with size, cow through put, number of employees, supplies used, property tax and insurance costs. Results for the two alternative parlors are reported for total annual variable parlor costs and total annual fixed cost. The summary includes total annual milking cost and total milking cost per hour of operation plus milking cost per cow and per hundredweight.
